A Balinese getaway isn’t complete without a little Bali island hopping to some of the province’s neighboring islands. If you want to get away from the busy crowds and you love a good adventure with the family, why not discover the other side of Bali? There are plenty of undiscovered and less congested beaches to check out!

Get to know this tropical paradise! On your next island hopping, don’t forget to check out these four islands:

Nusa Lembongan

Lembongan is a modest little island with untamed forests and gorgeous view. It’s not as developed as other beach sites in Bali. Lembongan features a great selection of restaurants, accommodations, and cafes. This place is best for families who want a more intimate setting. If you’re an adventurous soul, don’t let the size of Lembongan fool you! This place is a great snorkeling and diving site. Other activities include surfing, cliff jumping and swimming with the manta rays!

Nusa Ceningan

Ceningan is connected to neighboring Lembongan through a yellow bridge. The bridge is only wide enough to let one scooter pass at a time. Ceningan is even smaller than Lembongan, but it’s a favorite among beach bums! The island offers several hotels and motels including The Palms and Le Pirates Beach Club. Apart from the sparkling waters and pristine white sand, Ceningan Island offers a stunning sunset and breathtaking views!

Gili Trawangan

Gilli Trawangan is known as a backpacker’s paradise! Accommodations are cheap and the water is crystal clear.  Gili Trawangan is comprised of three small islands: Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno, and Gili Air. Each of the islands features white sand beach and amazing dive sites. Just like most islands on this list, Gili islands aren’t as developed as some of the bigger, more popular islands in Bali.

Because of the location, Gili islands is best for those who want a remote island experience. Those who frequent this area swear Gili islands have the most beautiful body of water in all of Bali. Gili islands’ marine life is best seen up close. The reef is vibrant, sea life bursts in color right before your eyes!

Located in West Nusa Tenggara, Lombok is similar in size and density as Bali albeit less congested with tourists. Sengigi is Lombok’s most popular tourist center. It features several hotels, villas, and restaurants. While Lombok isn’t as trendy as Bali, it offers a relaxing vibe! It’s a great place for families to visit.
