Bali has some amazing resorts, but they aren’t always within budget. Luckily, lots of Bali resorts offer day passes so you can indulge in a day by fabulous pools, on private beaches and enjoying their bars and restaurants. We’ve chosen 10 fantastic options for a day of luxury (and bonus updates of 3 extra resorts!)
#1 Inaya Putri Resort
Rp150,000 per person including a towel – Children under 6 are FREE
Inaya Putri Resort is located on the idyllic Nusa Dua beachfront. It’s 3 tiered pools and 2 small kiddie pools offer views to the beach, loungers to soak up the sun and excellent poolside food and drink services. For just Rp150,000 you can enjoy a day of pure relaxation by the pool or on the beach.
Kids have plenty of space to roam and run, and you can borrow beach toys from the staff at the pool to keep them busy on the beach. For a bit extra you can also rent surf or paddle boards, kayaks or bicycles to take a ride up the beach.
#2 InterContinental Bali
Pool Pass Rp200,000 including a towel, sun lounger and access to main pool, Balinese bath pool, fun pool and fountain pool.
Gym Pass for Rp150,000 or Gym and Spa Pass for Rp 250,000
Combination Pass Rp300,000
If you fancy a day of luxurious lazing, or even fancy a workout and spa session, Bali InterContinental has what you need. A pool pass allows you access to 4 pools, all with a slightly different vibe. The kiddos will love the fun and fountain pools, where they can splash and play to their heart’s content.
The 35 metre main pool has space for everyone and also offers the grownups a perfect vantage point to watch the kids from…the swimup bar of course!
#3 W Retreat & Spa
FREE! You will be expected to purchase food or drinks though
The W Retreat & Spa is probably one of the most stylish resorts in all of Bali, which is to be expected from this design-conscious chain of hotels. Hanging out by the pool at the W is a real treat and will make you feel like high-society for the day.
It may not seem like a place to take the kids, but in fact it’s really family-friendly with kids activities scheduled every day. We love booking a cabana in advance so the little ones can nap when they get tired from playing in the water and we have a bit of space to spread out.
The impressive tiered pools and winding boardwalks all look out to the beach, so don’t leave before you’ve had a Woo Bar cocktail at sunset! N.b – Please do call the W in advance to make sure the hotel isn’t fully booked. If they are full, day guests will not be allowed to use the facilities.
#4 Grand Aston Bali Beach
Rp175,000/Adult and Rp125,000/Child
With one of the largest lagoon pools on the island, there is more than enough room for guests and visitors at the Grand Aston Resort in Nusa Dua. The shallows of the pool are perfect for kids to play in and then there is the long stretch of pure white sand beach to enjoy as well.
The price includes access to the private beach, pool, and gym. You’ll also enjoy a sun lounger, towel, changing facilities and credit for selected snacks.

The Padma Resort Legian is an absolute fave for families on holiday in Bali, but it is pricey. Thankfully, you can enjoy the facilities of this fabulous resort with a day pass at S.K.A.I Beach Club. Guests can use the ocean-front main pool and can grab one towel per person. Unfortunately, the family pool and the children’s pool are not open to the public, but the main pool is pretty fabulous.
Since you have to spend on food and drinks, you will get to enjoy the varied menu at S.K.A.I Beach Club, which includes sandwiches, salads, Asian dishes and quality meat and seafood. The sharing menu is a great way to taste a few things and appeal to picky eaters.
